When you create a SideEye account, we collect:

- Squad Information: Squad names, member lists, roles

When you use SideEye, we automatically collect:
- Device Information: Hardware model, operating system version, unique device identifiers
- Usage Data: Features used, time spent in app, crash reports, performance data
- Network Information: IP address (for P2P connections), connection quality metrics
- Log Data: Access times, pages viewed, actions taken, errors encountered
1.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information from third-party services you connect to SideEye, such as:
- Authentication Services: Discord, Google, or other OAuth providers

1.4 Information We Do NOT Collect
SideEye does NOT:
- Record or store your screen sharing content
- Save your streaming sessions
- Monitor the content of your streams

When you join a squad or share your screen, your username, online status, and IP address (required for P2P connections) are visible to other squad members.

- Analytics and monitoring tools
- Customer support platforms
- Authentication services
These providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and use it only for the purposes we specify.

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide the Services and fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active
- Usage Logs: Typically retained for 90 days
- Support Tickets: Retained for up to 2 years
- Screen Sharing Content: NOT stored (transmitted peer-to-peer only)
When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.
6. Your Rights and Choices
6.1 Access and Update
You can access and update your account information at any time through the SideEye application settings.
6.2 Delete Your Account
You can delete your account by contacting us at support@sideeye.gg. Upon deletion, your personal information will be removed from our active systems within 30 days.
6.3 Marketing Communications
You can opt out of promotional emails by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email or updating your preferences in the app.
6.4 Cookie Preferences
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect your ability to use certain features of the Services.
6.5 Do Not Track
Some browsers support "Do Not Track" signals. SideEye does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals.
6.6 California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Right to request deletion of your personal information
- Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
