Welcome to the SideEye community! These Community Guidelines help create a safe, respectful, and positive environment for all our users. By using SideEye, you agree to follow these guidelines and help us maintain a healthy gaming community.

2. Respectful Behavior
2.1 Be Kind and Courteous
We expect all users to:
- Treat other players with respect and courtesy
- Communicate in a positive and constructive manner
- Be patient with new or less experienced players
- Celebrate achievements and support teammates
- Accept feedback gracefully and provide it constructively
2.2 Zero Tolerance for Harassment
We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment, including:
- Bullying, threatening, or intimidating behavior
- Hate speech, discriminatory language, or slurs
- Sexual harassment or unwanted sexual advances
- Stalking, doxing, or sharing personal information without consent
- Repeated unwanted contact after being asked to stop
- Encouraging others to harass or attack specific individuals
3. Content Standards
3.1 Appropriate Content
When sharing screens or communicating through SideEye:
- Keep content appropriate for a gaming audience (ages 13+)
- Ensure your screen share doesn't contain sensitive personal information
- Be mindful of background content visible in your streams
- Use appropriate language and avoid excessive profanity
- Respect intellectual property and copyright laws
3.2 Prohibited Content
Do NOT share, stream, or display content that includes:
- Explicit sexual content or pornography
- Graphic violence or gore (beyond game content)
- Illegal activities or substances
- Self-harm, suicide, or extreme violence
- Hate symbols, extremist content, or terrorist propaganda
- Scams, phishing attempts, or fraudulent schemes
- Malware, viruses, or other harmful software
4. Fair Play and Integrity
4.1 Gaming Ethics
SideEye is designed to enhance teamwork, not provide unfair advantages. Users must:
- Respect each game's terms of service and rules
- Not use SideEye to facilitate cheating or exploiting
- Not stream competitive matches if prohibited by game publishers
- Play fairly and maintain competitive integrity
- Report suspected cheating or rule violations
4.2 Account Integrity
Maintain the integrity of the SideEye platform by:
- Using only your own account
- Not sharing account credentials
- Not creating multiple accounts to evade bans
- Not impersonating other users or SideEye staff
- Reporting security vulnerabilities responsibly
5. Privacy and Consent
5.1 Respect Privacy
Privacy is paramount in our community:
- Always obtain consent before recording or streaming someone's screen
- Do not share others' personal information without permission
- Respect privacy settings and boundaries set by squad members
- Do not screenshot or record others' screens without consent
- Be transparent about who can view your screen
5.2 Personal Information
Protect yourself and others:
- Do not share sensitive personal information (addresses, phone numbers, etc.)
- Be cautious about sharing financial information
- Think before sharing details about your location or daily routine
- Report if someone is attempting to collect personal information
6. Squad Management
6.1 Squad Leaders
If you create or manage a squad:
- Set clear expectations and rules for your squad
- Address conflicts fairly and promptly
- Remove members who violate guidelines
- Foster an inclusive and welcoming environment
- Lead by example in following these guidelines
6.2 Squad Members
As a squad member:
- Follow your squad's specific rules and expectations
- Communicate availability and commitments clearly
- Respect squad leaders' decisions
- Contribute positively to team dynamics
- Leave squads respectfully if they're not a good fit
7. Communication Standards
7.1 Positive Communication
Communicate effectively and positively:
- Use voice and text features responsibly
- Keep communication relevant to the game or team coordination
- Avoid spamming, flooding, or excessive messaging
- Respect language preferences and use appropriate channels
- Mute or adjust settings if audio quality is causing issues
7.2 Prohibited Communication
Do not engage in:
- Excessive arguing or creating drama
- Trolling, griefing, or intentionally disruptive behavior
- Spreading false information or rumors
- Impersonating others or using deceptive identities
- Advertising or soliciting without permission
8. Technical Conduct
Use SideEye responsibly and ethically:
- Do not attempt to exploit bugs or vulnerabilities
- Report technical issues through proper channels
- Do not reverse engineer or modify the application
- Do not interfere with other users' connections or services
- Do not use bots, scripts, or automation tools
- Keep your application updated for security and performance
9. Commercial Use and Streaming
9.1 Personal Use
SideEye is primarily for personal, non-commercial use among gaming squads.
9.2 Content Creation
If you're a content creator:
- Obtain permission before featuring others in your content
- Credit SideEye when showcasing the application
- Follow platform-specific guidelines (Twitch, YouTube, etc.)
- Contact us for commercial streaming arrangements
- Do not misrepresent your relationship with SideEye
10. Reporting and Enforcement
10.1 Reporting Violations
If you encounter guideline violations:
- Report through the in-app reporting system
- Provide specific details and evidence when possible
- Do not engage or retaliate against violators
- Contact us at support@sideeye.gg for serious issues
- False reports may result in action against your account
10.2 Enforcement Actions
Violations may result in:
- Warning: First-time minor violations
- Temporary Suspension: Repeated or moderate violations
- Permanent Ban: Severe or repeated serious violations
- Legal Action: Illegal activities or serious harm
We reserve the right to take appropriate action based on the severity and context of violations.
10.3 Appeals
If you believe an enforcement action was made in error:
- Contact us at support@sideeye.gg within 30 days
- Provide your account details and explanation
- We will review appeals fairly and respond promptly
- Final decisions are at SideEye's discretion
11. Minor Safety
Special protections for users under 18:
- Users under 13 are not permitted to use SideEye
- Users 13-17 should have parental oversight
- Never share personal information with strangers
- Report any inappropriate contact or behavior immediately
- Parents/guardians can contact us with concerns about their child's use
12. Best Practices
To get the most out of SideEye while being a great community member:
- Set Boundaries: Communicate your privacy preferences clearly
- Take Breaks: Gaming should be fun, not stressful
- Be Inclusive: Welcome new players and diverse perspectives
- Give Feedback: Help us improve by sharing constructive feedback
- Stay Positive: Focus on teamwork and having fun
- Secure Your Setup: Use secure networks and keep software updated

13. Consequences of Violations
We take these guidelines seriously. Violations can result in:
- Warning messages or reminders
- Temporary restrictions on features
- Temporary account suspension (1-30 days)
- Permanent account termination
- Reporting to law enforcement (for illegal activities)
- Legal action for damages or harm caused
The severity of action depends on the nature, frequency, and impact of the violation.
14. Updates to Guidelines
We may update these Community Guidelines periodically to:
- Reflect changes in our services or features
- Address emerging community issues
- Comply with legal requirements
- Improve clarity and effectiveness
We will notify users of significant changes through the application or email. Continued use of SideEye after updates means you accept the revised guidelines.

17. Acknowledgment
By using SideEye, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to follow these Community Guidelines. You also agree that violations may result in actions against your account, up to and including permanent termination of access to SideEye services.
